Dwarf explanation
This is my dwarf, stupid. say hi stupid!
Stupid looks around and saw nothing, but says hi regardlessly
“Hi!” said stupid, who is pointing and laughing in thin air
What are you laughing at, stupid?
Stupid stops laughing and just shrug his shoulders and wipe away his droll from his mouth
Stupid first nodded his head, and then suddenly shake it
“Test?” asked stupid
Yeah…. sort of. Let’s just think of it as one, so… what do you think of this picture, stupid?
“ B, no, no, no, A, it’s A! ” said stupid
No stupid it’s a model sheet of you.
“model sheet?” ask stupid
A model sheet is a sheet that practically shows different emotions, and different views of you, like what you look front, sideways and what you look behind
“ohhhh I noe nowww!” said stupid, who ran to the door happily
“moooommmmy! I passed test!”
Hey stupid your not done yet! You need to finish answering more questions!
Stupid left with a loud thud of the door closing
Well what ever, I’ll show you this myself.
Hi I’m Tommy, I’m the creator, designer, and sculptor of stupid. Stupid is a little character, I created for a class assignment. The assignment was to create a character resembling a Dwarf, then come up with designs and expression of these characters.
The class was also told to create as many characters, and then to pick the best characters, and make a model sheet of it.
I had created so many characters for this assignment, so much that it took up 2 pages of my sketchbook.
Here are my characters that I created are:
Big head
Blocky
Spikey
When it comes to the time of picking the best characters that I created, I picked these characters, because, they were appealing, funny, and it was they were the most fun characters I worked with, while drawing them.
The top 3 characters I chose are:
Stupid
(first sketch of stupid )
(model sheet)
(stupid movements)
(stupids things)
(Stupids expressions)
(stupid first sketch)
Expressions:
(Angry)
(laughing)
(scary)
Out of all the 3 characters, that I chose, I picked Stupid, because, he was the most funnest characters, of all of them and it was one of the simplest and most practical ones to make.
I had a very great time on this assignment, not only did I spent most of my entire class periods on this assignment but also I also put lots of my effort and time on this one assignment. Working on this assignment, had not only improve my sculpting skills but also improve my time and patience controls of working on my assignment.
My pros and cons of this assignment:
Cons:
- It Took to long to make!
- It was hard sculpting the body to make the head balance it perfectly
- Took an entire week of making the hair, because stupid has lots of spikes for hair
- head was to heavy
- head always fell of while, I was taking the pictures of it
Pros:
- Turned out way better than I expected
- found a great solution for making the head stays (p.s Lots of popsicle sticks
- Improve my sculpting skills
- learned how to convert a 2 dimensional drawing to a 3-dimensional model
